They completely dropped the ball on me. On 11/2025, critical documentation was faxed to the paralegal while I was on the phone with her. I had confirmation the fax was successful on my end & ended the call. I emailed on 12/1 to make sure the paralegal had everything needed in the fax for L&I due to it being time sensitive. On 12/4 I received a reply addressing 1 of my questions, not the time sensitive one. 12/5 I replied asking again. Crickets. On 12/16 & 12/29 I emailed again No answer on the outstanding question. Only answers to everything else but that. On 1/19, I emailed again…..no response. I called the office 1/20 to find the paralegal was out of the office and that they would take my message and have someone call me. I called back 2/3, 2/5 & 2/9. On 2/10 I was able to speak to someone & was told I did this & that wrong, they don’t have my documentation & I need to do this and that, said I shot myself in the foot. I tried to speak but was told to “stop talking & when I say stop talking stop talking, there is nothing you can tell me that I don't know". He pulled up documentation I was referring to & disregarded it due to my assumed negligence. Everything he said was opposite of what I initially heard paralegal. He was rude & condescending on the call. I stated he was missing the documented timeline of events for this case, he reluctantly agreed to me sending it over & said it would be 2 weeks.The entire conversation was on speaker phone, my friend said that he was abusive. I called back on 2/27, for answers to my question. to find NOTHING had been done on my case. Everything I sent, talked about….like it never happened. explained the consequences I am facing because of this, all I got was a sorry & that my case was the #1 priority that week & I would hear back by end of week. On 3/6 I got a call reporting a tiny bit of forward motion however the most critical matter would take a couple months….a couple months TOO LATE. Had it been done back in December it would have been resolved & I would not be faced with what I am facing. I also asked about another matter in my case that I had no response to only to find out I needed a different lawyer they don’t handle that, and I asked what about the situation your office has put me in what will be done about that? She said I needed a whole different lawyer for that. I had to ask, the information was not offered. I asked if they had any lawyers to refer me to, and she said yes. I should not have had to ask. The names did not come until after 5pm on Friday causing me to have to wait until Monday to try heroics thanks to the lack of follow-through and communication and no accountability for putting me in a situation that I did not need to be in. I have a background in L&I billing and administration which I kept to myself this whole time, so I know enough to know the process. To be spoken to by Bill the owner like a lower life form with wrong direction and the same lack of communication to me and L&I that I have had with the surgeon and his office has left me, the client, me in a life altering situation that could have been prevented if people did their job, communicated and if they didn’t want to, they should have told me so I could have found a different surgeon and maybe would not have needed a lawyer that was actually the one who shot me in the foot. Not me, Mr. Bill, I did NOT shoot myself in the foot. The impact your office is having on my life & future outside of a botched surgery and incorrect post-op instructions were avoidable. Over 3 months have gone by…3 months that I could not afford. I did my due diligence which was supposed to be a 2 way street. The downstream affect is a 100 year flash flood with 20ft high water & boulders coming at me, I am left to drown with a teeny tiny defective life vest I had to beg for in order to attempt to survive. Finding out nothing was done on 2/24 was the day after I lost a loved one to a tragic untimely death on 2/23. Adding insult to injury.

I was referred to Bill hochberg’s office from my Family Law Layer. I am going through one of the hardest times in my life with my work injury and my treatment in this case and my health keeps getting worse and worse. I was lead to believe I would be helped. They strung me along for a month and a half, after several conversations and updates on what was going on. I get a letter in the mail saying they are not accepting new patients. To my confusion and after signing a release form for them to look into my case, I call to get an understanding of where things were and why I got the letter. I was met with the most rude and uncompassionate receptionist. I was talked to in a rude tone of voice and constantly told I would be called back and my case was being looked into. This firm made a life altering and scary time in my life so much worse and wasted my time, slowing my ability to get real help.
I had a dental injury at work. I wasn't even sure if this qualified as a workers' comp claim. I called Hochberg & Hamar with questions and they were amazing from the beginning. They filed my claim, got it allowed and all of my dental bills were paid for under the claim! They are great attorneys, have a wonderful staff and took care of everything for me professionally and promptly. I highly recommend them!
