My husband was recently approved for his residence. Maria was our paralegal who helped us through the whole process. She is amazing, very helpful, and well-organized. She kept us calm throughout the process and always answered my questions. During my husband's immigration interview, everybody was impressed with the package Maria prepared, which included all his appointments and paperwork needed for the interview at Ciudad Juárez. Although we were a little disappointed that we didn't meet with the lawyer, Maria was always there to help us through the process.
Thank you Maria
Before hiring this firm we did all of the leg work. Documented everything for the court in an organized fashion by date and submitted all of the declarations, filled out the paperwork and even submitted to teh court. Hired this attorney because we felt the court would take us more seriously with representation than without given how solid our case is. Literally handed them the case on a silver platter. Even the attorney stated we did an amazing job and "no need to reinvent the wheel". All they had to do was resubmit the paperwork with them as our representation and the other party was to be served that week. This was in October. Did not hear back from them and asked for an update in November. Was told again they were getting ready to file. No update but we were being patient around the holidays for obvious reasons but we get a letter stating the attorney had left in December and that a new attorney was being appointed and would be in contact. Again nothing from the firm but a notice he was going on vacation for two weeks. Nothing after that but an invoice for February for 600 dollars. For what? They hadn't done anything since October/November. We reached out again and for an update and was told the attorney would call us. At our sheduled appt time the attorney never called. I had to call in to the firm 20 minutes into the 30 minute meeting. The lawyer stated he hadnt even had a chance to look at our case and it was dumped on him after the other attorney left. Then why the 600 dollar charge for February? We were promised a summary by end of week. Nothing. Crickets. Now i get an invoice not only charging us for asking for updates, we were charged for teh full meeting with teh attorney that only lasted 7 minutes. We have now reached a point where our case has been stalled so long, the information isnt even relevant anymore and all of our hardwork on this is down the drain. I asked to dispute the charges mentioned above, no response. We will be ceasing our relationship with this attorney and starting over.
This law firm is awful. A friend of mine is too afraid to leave a review in fear of them making things worse, but the fact she paid an arm and a leg for representation only to have them not answer or drag their feet is a bit ridiculous. What kind of firm cares for paying clients like this? Not a good one.
My experience with Clearwater was absolute trash. I paid them $5000 for them to give me a lawyer that was on her way out of the practice. She didn’t represent me well at all. I had given all the information possible for her to be able to represent me correctly and she did not. I barely spoke with her 3x on the phone. I received emails telling me my case wasn’t as important as other cases as she was getting ready to leave. I got charged repeatedly for having to resend the same emails & attatchments I previously sent to my lawyer. I was sent an email asking if I’d still like representation by them once my lawyer had left and I marked yes and resent it. No one ever showed up to my last court date. I highly do not recommend them to anyone
