I was in need of legal assistance and after reading these reviews I placed all my eggs in David's Basket. He made me feel like he was ready to stand up for me and fight the slanderous allegations made against me. He was amazed at the progress I had made without any assistance and expressed frustration over how I was being treated by the system. Then he got my money and my experience soured swiftly.
It started with him seeking a continuance against my pleas of wanting the matter to be resolved, then he failed to call when he said he would and he began to speak more to the petitioner then he was to me. Initially he stated he could make no promises and that no one can predict what the Judge will do but once he felt he could make a deal that would "satisfy" all parties he began being very confident in how the Judge would rule as he advised me to take the deal presented by the petitioner (whom he worked with very closely to assure all HER needs were met).
I felt betrayed as initially he presented himself as prepared to battle and stand beside me but as soon as he had that money in his hands he was hesitant to contradict anything (regardless of the documentation I presented showing the accusations were unfounded) and was waving the banner of those speaking lies on my character. His primary concern was not the facts or my interests - he was there to perpetuate the myth that a man cannot be a parent and refused to speak ill of the mother. I wish that my experience with Mr Lowell was as positive as they others here but is not the case.
For $1900 he read some emails, filled out a template according to the demands of the other party and acted like he "resolved" the matter even though there was NOTHING able to be presented to the courts that warranted the treatment suffered by my daughter and I. I would not recommend David Lowell to anyone in need of legal representation - at the same time I am sure that he is as two-faced, lacking in integrity and character as all the other attorneys in this county.
Anyone who is seeking a lawyer is concerned, anxious, stressed and afraid. To take advantage of a person in such a lonely state to profit from their misery is a person who is hollow and not the person you want defending you in a battle. I wish the best for David and those who choose to become his client but would not use his services if they were free and I was battling a parking ticket.
My family hired David Lowell here in Burlington Washington State. He was not only very polite and family friendly but also affordable. We only needed his service for 4 weeks before he was able to get us the BEST possible outcome for our case. There was literally no better outcome that could have been possible, he totally whooped that ass in court and to top it off he dropped $500 off our bill because the case was over and done with so quickly. So I highly recommend this attorney to everyone.
There is a famous quote "There is no such thing as an honest lawyer". Whoever said that never hired David Lowel. I've had his help now in 3 previous events. He has always been very frank with me, even when he had to tell me things that I didn't want to hear. Of those 3 events, he only charged me for one of them. The other two he was honest with me and told me that we wouldn't win and that I could hire him but that it wouldn't be worth it. With the one case that we did pursue to the finish, he not only won but also gained me an over all financial gain. Yes, I spent around $1000 to hire him for it, but he saved me over $3000 in the long run and also saved me a lot of work and stress. That alone was worth another $500 at least. I've walked into him a few times in town since then and he has always asked how I'm doing and never tried to push any other business on me. I'm very happy to consider David to be my personal lawyer and if I'm ever a millionaire, I'm keeping him.
