Thanks to Gourley Law Group and the entire team. We contacted Craig Gourley for assistance with a contractor dispute through the online website and Craig responded quickly and, on a weekend no less. We discussed a strategy, cost involved and documentation I would need to send over to support our complaint. We filed through the court to secure our complaint and started by making a claim against the contractor's bond. Several others also filed against the bond which at the time, had limited bond insurance as required by the state at the time. It was a long process establishing who gets the bond money and/or how it would be split between the parties. The Gourley Law Group team was exceptional in negotiating our position and securing us the full amount of the bond. Although not enough to cover our full loss, the cost to proceed further would not be in our best interest since the contractor filed bankruptcy and the cost to pursue this further would require additional cost, we were not willing to spend. Craig offered to reduce our cost of his time so that our expense to recover the bond amount was limited. We found this to be highly acceptable and appreciated. I hired Gourley Law Group in June 2025 as a first time homebuyer who had purchased a home where known pest infestations were not disclosed by the sellers via standard disclosure forms. This was the only firm in the greater Seattle area that specialized in this component of real estate law, and who were willing to take my case. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin, Spencer and Kristen over the course of 4-5 months where they were able to assist me in recovering payment for the damages incurred by the raccoons living in my crawl space and attic. I initially retained Gourley Law Group in August 2025 for assistance with my mother’s estate and TEDRA-related issues. At first, I had concerns about delays and communication, especially regarding the lack of a TEDRA petition or enforcement action when the estate was experiencing time-sensitive problems, including foreclosure risk. However, after raising these issues in my feedback, the firm responded quickly and proactively. They took my concerns seriously, clarified the status of the case, and began taking concrete steps to correct the situation. Communication improved, questions were answered more promptly, and they worked to get the necessary actions moving in the right direction. Their staff showed professionalism in addressing misunderstandings and making sure I felt heard after bringing up my concerns. While the start of the representation was difficult, I appreciate that they ultimately made an effort to resolve communication issues and work toward protecting my mother’s interests. Their responsiveness after my initial review reflects positively on their commitment to addressing client concerns and improving the overall experience.

Note of caution: I spoke with Mr. Gourley by phone and was assigned to Kevin Burkowsky, made my payment of $500 and did not receive any usable council. I had to point out passages of the legal documents to him which made me question whether he, Kevin, even read those docs. When I asked him for solutions, Kevin told me that someone needs to “do the numbers” but that wouldn’t be him. So what did I pay for? For Kevin to tell me he couldn’t support me. Find a lawyer that will tell you if they can help BEFORE you give them your money. I feel scammed.
